Mountain Soap Factory is a family owned boutique soap company located on our ranch just outside of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We are often asked how we started out. Honestly, it was 14 years ago with a single batch of olive oil soap made as a summer 4H project by our daughter Julia. Over the years we attended Farmers Markets, gift fairs and began offering our products under private labels. Launching our website in 2012 we started to expand our product line into what it is today. And what of that little girl? Julia is now head of our social media and marketing. As partners and teammates we are completely enjoying this mother/daughter business adventure we are on. Not to be left out, my husband Stuart is also involved in our company and likes to refer to himself as the Chief Bottle Washer. (But we all know he’s much more than that!)
These days I find myself happily making soaps, filling orders and very grateful to be working alongside my incredible family. Taking inspiration from our mountains, it is our hope that you will feel the peace and calming that can only come from naturally made products.
